Cherry Class
Cherry class is the name for our Alternative Resource Provision (ARP) where we provide a robust learning curriculum for children with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and mild to severe learning difficulties. We focus on an Early Years and KS1 mixed curriculum as this is appropriate for the children, but we also ensure that social skills, fine motor skills and Speech and Language plays a part in the day to day timetable. The curriculum is a four yearly rolling curriculum, so the children in the ARP learn a range of topics during their time with us. We also integrate the children into their mainstream classes where appropriate, for subjects such as music, art or PE. The children are very much a part of our daily life at DBJA.
